The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.

SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level made for intervention ordeals a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of SRD all prospects and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
